How to Get
Involved

Support My Walk Across America and Keep the Mental Fitness Conversation Going!

Your donations are greatly appreciated!

Your contributions are greatly appreciated as I take this long, exhilaratingly challenging trek. At about 20 miles a day, I've still got a lot of this country and people to see!

Why give?

  • 👟

Walking across the country takes time, effort, and your generosity. Daily expenses like lodging or tent sites, repairs and replacements add up over the more than 150 days I’m on the road.

  • 💪

You’re donating because you know mental fitness is just as necessary as physical fitness for a happy, healthy life. By meeting me and following my journey, you’ve joined this important conversation and support my mission.

  • 🚀

Sometimes, although rarely, I encounter nearly impassable terrain or nasty weather. Your donations really help out when I have to shelter longer than anticipated. Or when I absolutely need a bus or train to get to the next city. The Southwest is HUGE.

  • 🧠

I’m walking to promote mental fitness. You found me because you believe brain health is important too. Together, we’re talking the talk while I walk the walk. Media appearances and simple 1:1 conversations are getting the word out.

  • 🩺

You’re giving to my campaign because you know mental health can’t be “cured” by medical intervention. It’s a process in which we all have to participate and to do that effectively, we have to give mental fitness a voice. I’m starting those conversations.

  • 🥰

    “Why give?”
You may be predisposed to give to all good causes because you're an awesome human. Just don’t say “it’s a no-brainer” — because it’s our brains we’re trying to save!

This walk is self-funded. I am not a nonprofit, or a tax-free entity.

It’s a mission I’ve felt compelled to complete for a very long time. We’re talking about mental fitness, suicide and survivor guilt, and how to get unstuck.

I am gratified by the outpouring of support along this journey and will gladly accept your support. I accept Zelle, Cash App, and ApplePay.

Soon-to-expire hotel points are helpful, too.

Let’s chat. And thank you in advance!

Walk to Honor a Loved One

If you have a loved one whose memory you’d like to honor, I invite you to have me walk a mile in their name. During this mile, we can connect via a live call, and I will share their story, reflecting on their impact and the ways they are remembered. This is an opportunity to celebrate their lives and the lasting impressions they’ve left on us.

How It Works

  • Select a Loved One: Choose someone you wish to honor — a family member, friend, or colleague.

  • Schedule a Call: Coordinate a time for us to connect during the walk.

  • Share Their Story: During our call, we’ll discuss their life, your memories, and how they continue to influence you.

Why Participate?

This initiative offers a meaningful way to:

  • Celebrate Lives: Share and cherish the memories of those who have passed.

  • Support a Cause: Contribute to mental health awareness and suicide prevention efforts.

  • Foster Connection: Strengthen our bond through shared stories and experiences.

Next Steps

If you’re interested in participating or have any questions, please reach out to me directly at keepmeposted2025@gmail.com. Together, we can make this journey a tribute to those who have touched our lives.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to honor your loved ones and support a cause close to my heart.

Your donations go a long way. Like, about 3,000 miles or so!

Your contributions are greatly appreciated as I continue this long, exhilaratingly challenging trek. At about 20 miles a day, I’ve still got a lot of country to cover and many, many more people to meet and talk with about #mentalfitness and suicide prevention.
